FAQ
What does MILYREX do?
MILYREX provides performance-based commercial introductions for defence, dual-use and related technology companies. A Client defines a commercial need, and MILYREX manages the sourcing, qualification and direct introduction of relevant commercial counterparties.
Do I need to know exactly which companies I want to reach?
No. MILYREX is designed for situations where the Client knows the commercial outcome they want to achieve, but not necessarily which companies are the right counterparties. A mandate starts by defining the target market, counterpart profile, capability or business need, and MILYREX identifies, sources and qualifies the most relevant companies.
What kinds of commercial needs can MILYREX support?
Mandates generally fall into three areas: Market Access, Partnerships & Integration, and Supply & Capability. The need can range from finding distributors or commercial partners to identifying OEMs, integrators, suppliers, technologies or specialist capabilities.
What is a Qualified Commercial Introduction (QCI)?
A Qualified Commercial Introduction is more than a contact or generic lead. It is a relevant commercial counterpart that fits the agreed mandate and has demonstrated genuine interest in exploring the opportunity. MILYREX then makes the direct introduction.
How does a mandate begin?
A mandate begins by defining the commercial objective, target counterpart profile, geography, QCI criteria, relevant exclusions and commercial terms. This gives MILYREX a clear outcome to source and qualify against.
Can we start with a small or pilot mandate?
Yes. A first mandate can be deliberately focused around one market, counterpart type, capability or commercial objective. This can provide a practical way to test the working model before expanding the scope.
How does MILYREX charge?
Engagements typically combine a one-time Activation Fee with a Performance Fee for each completed Qualified Commercial Introduction.
Commercial terms are agreed for each mandate based on its scope, expected value and delivery model.
Does MILYREX guarantee a minimum number of introductions or sales?
No. Unless specifically agreed in a mandate, MILYREX does not guarantee a minimum number of introductions, meetings, proposals, contracts or sales. The agreed commercial outcome is a completed Qualified Commercial Introduction where a relevant counterpart has demonstrated genuine interest.
What happens after an introduction?
The Client and counterpart continue the commercial conversation directly. MILYREX steps back unless additional support has been specifically agreed.
How is MILYREX different from a sales agent, distributor or consultant?
MILYREX is built around a defined commercial outcome: identifying, qualifying and directly introducing the right commercial counterpart. We do not act as a distributor, reseller or sales representative in the underlying transaction, and the standard model is not based on billing consulting time. After a QCI, the Client and counterpart continue the commercial relationship directly unless additional support is separately agreed.
Can my company remain undisclosed during sourcing?
Yes, where appropriate. MILYREX can use staged disclosure, allowing potential counterparties to be researched and initially qualified without immediately disclosing the Client’s identity or full commercial context. The information required at each stage depends on the mandate and the nature of the opportunity. Read more about our approach to information handling.
Can MILYREX work with us if we already have distributors or partners in some markets?
Yes. Existing relationships can be built into the mandate as exclusions or boundaries. The scope can be limited by geography, company, partner type or other criteria, and potential counterparties can be coordinated with the Client before outreach where appropriate.
Which markets does MILYREX cover?
MILYREX focuses primarily on NATO and EU member states, together with selected allied and partner markets. Other markets may be considered individually depending on the mandate, commercial relevance and applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
The specific geography is defined separately for each mandate.
Can MILYREX work with dual-use or military-related mandates?
Each mandate is assessed individually and handled according to its regulatory context. MILYREX accepts work only where applicable regulatory, sanctions, export-control and other compliance requirements can be met.
Does MILYREX provide government procurement representation?
No. MILYREX has a B2B commercial focus and does not provide B2G or public-sector procurement representation.
Does MILYREX buy, sell or transport the underlying goods?
No. MILYREX facilitates commercial introductions and does not buy, sell, own, store or transport the underlying goods.
Can I submit classified or export-controlled information through the website?
No. Please do not submit classified, export-controlled or other restricted information through the website or ordinary contact form.
How does the Partner Network work?
Relevant mandates are shared selectively with suitable Partners. Partners may identify or provide access to relevant counterparties, and agreed contributions that lead to completed QCIs are compensated under the applicable Partner terms.
How can I join the Partner Network?
Request an invitation and tell us about your industry experience, markets, relationships and areas of expertise. The network is curated rather than open, and participation is assessed individually.
